Ed Miliband Leadership Crisis
Overblown and media hype or is he really in trouble? What do you the good people of who make of him?

Anyone else think this has all been a Labour charade?
Put up a few patsy backbenchers to question Milliband. The next few days predictably the party all unite behind him. Next Milliband will do a speech and The Mirror and the left will rally united behind him. Any publicity is good publicity

Re: Ed Miliband Leadership Crisis
A pity you have to fall in line I always respected your independent line of thought. I mistakenly thought that you were better than that and thought for yourself.

You used to be a contender so don't become one of this Board's lackeys.

no comma, it's a sign that you're stupid.

Is being called a thicko by Griff a badge of honour?

I actually like my Conservative MP. She is going to win anyway in my ward

In which case, I broadly agree

I should have elaborated more. I don't like toffs who go into politics just to look out for their fellow toffs and to hell with the rest of us peasants.
But you're right, Tony Benn was treated with the same anti toff snobbery by the Labour Party in the 80s.

Again a reasonably conducted debate slides into the usual bollocks of playground insults.
Still, it does distract from the need to post something with any intelligence behind it.

The mark of shit politician

I like your work, just wish you wouldn't drag yourself down to the level of thickos like comma by using the toff line. Someone being born into wealth is as irrelevant as being born black, white, poor, disabled.....it's just not on the list of things that are prohibited by political correctness.

And broken election promises?

Ah, the old toff bollocks.

The mark of an imbecile.

Re: Ed Miliband Leadership Crisis
Ed Milliband has a credibility problem not helped by a "complete wanker" persona and melted plastic face. And that's what the leadership crisis is all about...

Re: Ed Miliband Leadership Crisis
If you vote on image alone then you deserve culling.
I can't stand Milliband because he's so pathetically weak, spewing nothing but froth and incapable of destroying the Tories, despite the fact they're back to being the vermin party I love to hate.
His front benchers are also massive wankers.
Personally I just want to kick out my local Tory MP for breaking his election promises. And for being a toff. I don't give a stuff about the next government though.

I wasn't aware there was much public mocking of Gove apart from the teachers he was antagonising.
Thought Cameron brought him out to calm things down and so that he could help attack Theresa May from an in-house position rather than make it too obvious.

Re: Ed Miliband Leadership Crisis
stew ..son .Never once doubted the existence of double standards, goes on all the time.Sir Bernard Ingham helped shape Thatchers media image too.
Even as someone likely to vote Labour, I am not entirely convinced by Ed Milliband. Dooesn't detract from the argument though that we do need to take a step back from this obsession with image though (on either side).

Re: Ed Miliband Leadership Crisis
Sven, you forgot the biggest dork of them all, Gove. At least Cameron had the foresight to get him out of the way....

Re: Ed Miliband Leadership Crisis
As cruel and unfortunate as it often is the piss-taking of politicians as odd etc is usually only reflecting the general public mood.
If it didn't have a ring of truth to it it wouldn't resonate.
Politicians like Thatcher and Blair had their act nailed down and played it perfectly.
Others didn't and the personal criticism comes to both sides ..... ie
Kinnock .... ginger windbag
Hague .... down with the kids in his baseball cap and drinking 14 pints on his pub rounds. 'Karate' with Seb Coe before back off to his 'wife'
Brown .... angry bullying and probably mentally ill
IDS ... the 'quiet man' ... Pardon? Insipid to the point of invisibility
etc etc
